Case Study

Brief

Lawmed is a specialist distributor, based in the United Kingdom, focusing on the minimally invasive surgical market.

 

We started working with Lawmed in 2016 when they approached us to help increase brand awareness online and in operating theatres to support future sales growth. The challenge was that Lawmed, as a distributor, promoted other brands and did not itself have a strong brand presence.  This was all about to change.

Method / Strategy

We wanted to take Lawmed back to the beginning and understand why its team were so passionate about the business and why they had such a loyal customer following. 

 

We quickly identified that Lawmed were firmly at the forefront of new procedures (particularly TaTME), searching for products to bring into the NHS that would support surgeons to perform those in a safer and more effective way.

Once we understood this the new branding fell into place.  The logo had to be angular, to indicate precision and specialism, and have a forward motion to symbolise Lawmed’s focus on new procedures.

 

The tagline ‘Advancing Surgical Possibilities’ seems like an obvious choice and it totally embodied Lawmed as a company.  Other companies could say it, but Lawmed lives it.

Once the logo, corporate messaging and brand elements were agreed, we addressed the materials that would effectively communicate the new brand and give Lawmed a bigger presence in the market which included a new website, product literature, packaging (to increase shelf presence) and exhibition graphics.
